Summer Bible Study

Have you ever felt like life was meaningless? That evil seems to win out over good? In a world full of pain and confusion, we’re all looking for answers. “A Season for Everything Under the Sun” is a study of Ecclesiastes which seeks to give some of these answers and try to think of a few others. The Study will be led by John Langenstein and will meet July 17th, 24th, and 31st (Monday nights) at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary. If you are interested in the study, contact the Church Office at firstumc3@frontier.com

Scholarship Applications

Applications for the FUMC/McBee Scholarship are available in the church office. Completed applications need to be returned to the church office on or before Sunday, June 18, 2017. If you have questions, contact the church office 304.258.2766

Hospitality Team

The Visitor Hospitality Team is taking shape to welcome visitors so they feel like guests; guests are visitors for whom you are prepared. If you have an interest in serving on this Team or would like to be a Sunday morning greeter (we need both), please contact the church office 304-258-3766.

Disciples for Christ

The newly formed Men’s Fellowship Group will gather for a delicious breakfast, and fellowship, on Saturday, April 8 at 8:00 AM at Cacapon State Park Restaurant. Again, all the men of our church are invited and encouraged to give this new ministry a try. We have such outstanding men at First! We look forward to what this multi-dimensional Men’s Fellowship will become.

VBS Planning

FUMC is needing people who would be able to lead a team for VBS this summer. Also it is needed to be decided if VBS will be an evening or daytime event. Bonnie Weber is forming a team to discuss and plan the event. For more information please contact her at bonnierweber@gmail.com.
